Synopsis
A bounty hunter’s partners to lovers’ story. The hunt is on… and he’s the prey. Bradford (Ford) King was sure he had the rest of his life mapped out.
Though he was no longer a SEAL Lieutenant, his brother was home safe and he had a job that still allowed him to satisfy his hunger for hunting bad guys.
Life was simple, no distractions or complications – at age forty-six – that’s all Ford wanted.
What he didn’t want was his work partner, sniper/watchman, Dana, giving him s**t all the time.

Dana Cadby had grown up labeled a roughneck from the wrong side of the tracks. He’d fought, scrounged, and survived despite a father that constantly told him he couldn’t.
Dana pulled himself up by his own boot straps and made a name for himself in the marksman community. He’d been Duke’s bounty watchman for five years.
It was his job to ensure their safety, watch their backs.

At thirty-three, he was trusted, well respected by his peers, his bosses, his friends… so why couldn’t he earn the same respect from his partner? Dana knew he was bisexual before he graduated high school. He also knew he was attracted to the huge, 6’3”, SEAL from the moment he and his brother came to join their team.
It wasn’t easy for him to tamp down his immediate reaction to Ford’s thick muscles, full beard, and dark eyes. Still, Dana exhibited nothing but professionalism towards him, not wanting to make his ‘straight’ partner uncomfortable.

After Dana took back his ex-girlfriend, he’d noticed an intensification in Ford’s bad attitude. One that turned aggressive and downright antagonistic, and Dana was damned if he’d just lay down and take it. He was gonna make that man respect him if it was the last thing he did.

When Duke sends Dana and Ford out to track down their most dangerous bounty yet, they both embrace the fact that they make one hell of a team… but they fight tooth and nail against the powerful intimacy brewing between them.

Beware: When Ford and Dana connect, no fugitive can hide from the hunter and his watchman.

This story is a part of a series but can stand alone. It does not end on a cliffhanger and has a HEA. Disclaimer: This book is about MM romance, albeit there is a very brief MF scene.

MY REVIEW
Promises Part 3 is (obviously) book 3 in the Promises series by the absolutely amazingly talented AE Via
All books can be read alone but I highly recommend you read the series... just because they are all equally awesome and you are also introduced to the main characters from this book in the others
Ok so.... I have been dying to get my hands on this book since meeting the guys in the other books and wow, it did not disappoint... it was so worth the wait and more
Promises Part 3 is Ford and Dana's story
They are both total badass bounty hunters that meet while working together and Dukes Bail Bonds
They are tough as hell but can be so damn sweet... I mean who doesn't love a tough guy with a heart??
You are gunna love these guys... honestly
I just fell in love with them from page one, they are just amazing... Sigh (smiley with heart eyes)
Ford and Dana are Perfect for each other... the sexual tension between them from page one is so damn steamy
These guys are so hot together, I'm surprised my kindle didn't catch fire... wow
I honestly absolutely loved every word of Promises Part 3... its the perfect addition to an amazing series
The whole group of Promises guys are so sweet... I could no way pick my fave (nope I wont do it, you cant make me, that would be cruel)
I feel as if I know them, these guys feel like family to me <3
The author has written these guys so well that you feel every emotion right along with them
AE is a very talented lady, the way her stories come to life on the pages truly amazes me
How she takes these characters/ideas from her head and gives them life... she just has readers hanging on to and loving every word... just wow
I cant freaking wait to get my hands on Brian and Sway's book (book 4)
From the little snippets we have gotten from them in this book, yeah its definitely sure to be another amazing read
Promises Part 3 is another flawless addition to an epic series
AE Via has totally knocked it out of the park with this one... which from every other book she has written, I expect nothing less
5 Star is not enough... this book deserves nothing less than a 10/10

Excerpt
Dana
“It must be nice and frustrating to love someone that much, huh?” Dana said almost to himself while they pulled out of the parking lot heading towards the first address Brian had given them, which was the Grossman brothers’ last known address. It was unlikely anyone would be there, but it was a starting point. They’d sit on it a while and then look inside for a sneak peek.
Ford rubbed the thick hairs on his full beard. “I wouldn’t know.”
Dana chanced a look at Ford, but he was looking straight ahead as he took DeKalb towards Edgewood. It was a run-down neighborhood with old townhomes. There were tons of side streets and forest to provide coverage or a quick getaway.
They were quiet the rest of the way, only speaking if it was about the case. They hadn’t even mentioned last night or the lingering elephant in the backseat. Were they interested in each other or not? Was Ford bisexual or gay? The man lived a private, isolated life, so it wasn’t common knowledge which way he swung, but Dana could read body language and Ford was giving him crazy rhythm.
The GPS announced that their destination was on the left. The home looked like it had been abandoned or was the victim of a drive by, more than likely, both. The Grossmans had enemies and rival gang leaders everywhere. The windows were boarded up, a couple of the ones downstairs had graffiti spray-painted on them. The foundation was unstable and unlivable. There was no one there and hadn’t been for a while. “This is a bust,” Dana huffed.
“Let’s take a quick look when the sun goes down,” Ford answered, his dark eyes taking in the surroundings of the empty house. “We can probably pop that board off on the side and get in that way.”
“Whatever you say,” Dana sighed, leaning back and getting comfortable. He didn’t expect to see much activity and they still had some time before it was dark enough for them to sneak inside.
Ford cut his eyes over to him but didn’t let them linger long. It was at least thirty minutes before Ford spoke up, his deep voice staggering even in the large cab. “You wanna talk about… you know. Just so we’re on the same page?”
Dana swallowed a thick lump of air, his heart accelerating at the possibility of getting some answers. “Sure. If you want to.”
Dana decided to let Ford start. He’d initiated this, so Dana would let him get what he needed off his chest first. “Um. I think we should just start over. Squash all that old stuff.”
Dana acknowledged that he was listening. He wasn’t making eye contact, but neither was Ford. Instead, his sharp eyes were still directed at the run-down house. Squash it? “When you say start over, do you mean—?”
“Before we clamped onto each other’s throats. That’s what I mean.” Ford finally looked at him. “Fact is, we have a job to do and petty bullshit can’t get in the way.”
“I agree. I think we can drop it, then.” Dana chuckled humorlessly. “Although, I’m not quite sure what exactly it is that we’re dropping. Are we dropping the cold shoulder you keep giving me? Are we dropping the constant bickering over nothing? Are we dropping the façade that we’re not—?”
“Who is that?” Ford interrupted, his hand quickly fumbling in the center console for his camera.
Dana turned and looked where Ford was aiming the long scope. A man was cautiously making his way to the side of the same house they were watching. Fuck. Hadn’t even seen what direction he came from. This thing between him and Ford was absolutely a distraction. “I don’t recognize him.”
